Photo of a Bedford TK, built up for bulk transport of alumina or alumina for aluminum production in Delfzijl.Aluminium Delfzijl [ALDEL]. Alumina or alumina is processed bauxite from which aluminum is extracted in Delfzijl. Built: 3 units ca. 1965-1966 by ILPERA NV. Location: Zijperstraat 26 Alkmaar Fully hydraulic motor-driven vehicles with pneumatic filling device. Designed for the aluminum factories at Delfzijl. [ALDEL] These vehicles automatically loaded the raw material - alumina powder - for aluminum production, and transported it from the filling station under the silo to the smelting halls and by means of air pressure blew the alumina powder into the electrolysis furnaces.
