Photo of a Kögel semi-trailer, built as a dumper / tipper. The two- and three-axle Kögel tipper trailers with a load volume of 24 m³ are now also available in all available wall and body strength variations as fully insulated asphalt tipper trailers. The body of the new Kögel asphalt tipper is fully insulated according to asphalt regulations and equipped with integrated five-point measuring technology and a temperature gauge incl. printer. The display alternately shows the five individual measuring points and the average temperature. A high-performance thermoset insulation, which is especially suitable for high temperatures up to max. 200 °C, serves as insulation. Like the entire vehicle chassis and body, the outer body plating is permanently protected against corrosion thanks to Nano-Ceramic technology and KTL coating with a UV coating on top. The temperature sensors can be easily maintained via plate covers. A heat-resistant sliding cover made of polyurethane is used for insulation to the top. The thermal insulation properties of the fully insulated asphalt container are above the required values. This provides significantly increased temperature stability of the asphalt. Easy retrofitting All previously sold Kögel tipper trailers can be easily retrofitted to asphalt tipper trailers. The complete insulation incl. measuring technology is retrofitted at the factory in Burtenbach and weighs only approx. 350 kg. Preferred applications in road construction Of course, the new asphalt tipper trailer also features the 170 mm longer bucket overhang, which was already proposed by Kögel in 2014. This makes the asphalt tipper trailer perfectly suited for road work. An optionally fitted chute is thus no longer necessary. This not only saves the customer money, but also weight. In addition, the lighting units separated by the fender holder can be easily and quickly adjusted in height to provide more distance to the asphalt or asphalt machine. Also perfect for road construction is the upward swinging folding lock on the fender, already proposed last year. Contamination from asphalt are thus significantly reduced.
