Schlüter Eurotrac van Schluterfan

Schlüter Eurotrac | Picture made by Schluterfan

Egi Euro Trac! In 2004 it could still see brand new Schlüter's. Although that was the last year, since Egelseer had decided to stop production. Otherwise, Egelseer did more to market the Schlüter's than the former LandTechnik Schlüter (Or LTS, LandTechnik Schönebeck). After a conversation with a German enthusiast, who was a good customer of Schlüter (down to the last!) and bought them directly in the factory, it quickly became clear that LTS was not a good idea. That things were not so kosher at LTS was evident from a visit from an acquaintance of his. He visited the LTS factory in Schönebeck, where only Euro Trac's and 2 Super Trac's were built. When that man went into the factory it was quite quiet, little life. When he went into the canteen in the afternoon to eat his sandwiches, the employees would come in. Where they suddenly came from??? That the end of Schlüter in the short, 2-year LTS existence was also sad, it turned out that there were still about 370 tractors (also Super and Compact models!!!) of parts! When the boxes were removed from the warehouses, they went around with a red and blue spray can... Red was scrap metal, blue was usable... When the fancier told me about this, I noticed in his voice that he also had a hard time with this. Schlüter's move to the GDR and anton who disappeared behind the scenes did not do the brand any good at all. What on the last Feldvorführung at 30. September 1993 was mentioned as the future turned out to be the death knell. Fortunately, Egelseer took over the available parts, to build a few more Euro Trac's, 1 Super and 2 Compact's. This Euro Trac 1700LS on the picture is one from Langenzenn, where Egelseer rented a shed for a few years and built the tractors there together with about 8 people I believe. The enthusiast who told this story is also the proud owner of such a Egelseer tractor (his brother also has one by the way!), and with that he also shows once again that he had the confidence in it until the last moment. And still is, by the way. Photo from 2004, on the Schlüter Feldvorführung which was then organized by the Schlüterfreunde Donau a.d Ilm. Photo: P.V.S
