Schlüter Super 750 V van Schluterfan

Schlüter Super 750 V | Picture made by Schluterfan

Schlüter Traktomobile! We're a little past the mid-60s. Manufacturers continue to look for novelties to make their tractors more comfortable. This also applies to Schlüter, who at that time was actually a bit in a daze of novelties. Under the title "Schlüter Traktomobile", Schlüter launched in about 1967 with an option on the then about 1-year-old Super series with a cab. Super Silence, as the later cabins were called, was not talked about at the time. This cabin was first presented on a white Super 900, which then also showed a new bonnet. The lights were incorporated into the mother weight. Apparently many a Schlüter audience was not impressed by the study model, because it did not get any further than that. The cabin was sold in small numbers. This is how it also found its way on this Super 750V. Further interested parties for these cabins were the Rheinbraun and the former Yugoslavia. But outside of that, the option was unfortunately little ticked. Schlüter did not build this cabin himself, but had it built at Fritzmeier. For some reason, the cab was modified again after a short production time. For example, the fenders became the standard round versions that were already on the tractor, the fixed side windows were replaced by sliding windows and the small windows under the windscreen became more round in shape. That cab, and the later version with angular fenders were also built at Fritzmeier. With the arrival of the fixed "Super Silence Kabine", Schlüter started to produce the cabins himself. Most likely also because work was being done on a tipping version, which made its appearance on the Profi Trac 3000TVL in '73. Schlüter did purchase the so-called "Fritzmeier Verdeck's", which were often ordered instead of the original factory cabin, despite the fact that the price difference was actually not that big. Schlüter would work with Fritzmeier again after more than 15 years, this time for the production of the cabins for the EuroTrac's. There is also something to be said about the "750". This was the first Schlüter Super with 6 cylinder, and directly the successor of the then quite revolutionary S900. With the introduction of the "Super" series, Schlüter embarked on an almost 30-year history, in which many novelties found their way and was therefore also the most successful series of the brand. The very last Schlüter to leave the assembly hall was also a Super. The 750 has only 1 baureihe, and that's this one. The tractor was immediately succeeded by the Super 850. With the regular cabin you do not see a 750 often, and certainly not with this Fritzmeier. This tractor can still be seen as a loyal visitor at the Schlüter field day in Aurich, which is only organized once every so many years. This picture dates back to '17.
