Schlüter Compact 1350 TV 6 | Picture made by Schluterfan

High High Speed Compi! The first impression when you see this tractor as a Schlüter fan, it looks like a normal Compact. Because the type ticker on this tractor no longer sticks to the bonnet, you will automatically look at the black picture. Then you will see 1305 at FgNr... with another 001 behind it! This is the very first Compact 1350TV6. And on the Maschinenkarte there is something else ticked that gives many a lover goosebumps, namely that it is a High Speed. The GTI among the Schlüters! I pretty much know the history of the tractor. I once spoke to the previous owner. He just did agricultural work with this tractor, next to a Super 1250VL Special. Actually the ideal combination, he said. This allowed him to compare the Schlüter engine with the MAN engine in the Compact. Schlüter fans from the first hour who have Compact with a turboless MAN engine often agree that they do not have the fighting spirit that they are used to with the Schlüter engines. That is why more Compact 950V6 (-LS) and 1050V6 (-LS) have been upgraded with a turbo on the engine. The Compact 1150TV6, 1250TV6 (-LS) and of course 1350TV6 (-LS) do have a turbo engine. The 5.6 Liter turbo engine can certainly compete with the 7.4 liter turboless Schlüter engine, he said. The trigger seemed to be just as difficult to tame as the 1250, he said with a laugh. Both the 1250 and the 1350 left the company over time for younger Valtras. Something he still regrets now, and that has nothing to do with the Valtra's...! To ease the pain a bit, years later he bought a Super 950 without front-wheel drive for the hobby. Nevertheless, in 1986 the market was not quite ready for compact tractors with a 6 cylinder. The Compact 1350TV6 was a formidable competitor of the Super 1250VL Special, which was also in the price lists at the time. Nevertheless, most chose the approximately 2500DM (1280euro) more expensive 1250. It had a larger cabin, higher standard weight (when weight did not play a role due to soil compaction ...) and of course the Schlüter engine. The options were largely (with the exception of Rüfa,...) available on both models, including the High Speed. Most likely, both models still had to be in the program, that this would be the other way around. Owja, and why did I title this story High High Speed? Before the tractor came into the hands of the current owner, the thing was already running for quite 50. That would now go towards the 70... The High Speeds also received improvements and modifications in the course that they were available. Probably it had several, so the speed went up. On my next visit to this tractor I'm going to ask the owner for an explanation... :D!
