Schlüter Eurotrac van Schluterfan

Schlüter Eurotrac | Picture made by Schluterfan

Ein Blick in das Werk! A photo from the time when there was still activity in the Münchenerstrasse 32, early 90s. The photo shows the construction of an unusual Euro Trac. Judging by the front axle, the tractor should be a 1900LS. Further study of the photo shows that this is not the case. The tractor in the picture is probably the only Euro Trac 1300LS that has left the factory in forestry version. As a basis for this, a 1900 was used, but with an engine from a 1300... In the background, a Super 1250VL ((-LS)(Special)) has just left the drying room. Here the mechanics build the cab on the tractor. Schlüter had the cabs for the EuroTracs built at Fritzmeier. But this cab is also not the standard version for the Euro Trac. The photo clearly shows that the cab roof and the cabin sky are no longer present. Most likely, the mechanics disassembled it here themselves, because the Euro Trac got another higher roof, which also incorporated numerous work lights. Here you can also see the hole in the middle of the cab, which made Rüfa possible. All the piping and cabling went from this to the components. Whether the Euro Trac in the picture actually has Rüfa, I find it difficult to say. It is quite possible that at that time the cabs already had the standard facilities to easily equip the tractors in the factory with the fixed steering position, or the reversible (Rüfa, Rückfahrtseinrichting). Incidentally, the factory mechanics built them themselves in the cab. After the tractor was ready at the Freising factory, it was delivered to dealer Schreyern, who further dismantled the Euro Trac for forestry. There, the tractor would have doubled its new price, if it were an agricultural version of the Euro Trac, with the modifications and material for forestry. With that they agreed, once the tractor was finished, that it would have been the most expensive Schlüter ever. Once the tractor was ready, it was also on schlüter's stand at the agricultural exhibition in Munich. There was also a photo shoot of this tractor in front of the villa of Anton Schlüter, which was on Gut Schlüterhof. As far as I know, the tractor is still with its first owner and has also worked the clock more than 2 times. He faithfully does/did his service in the vicinity of Freising.
