March 23, 2021 Photo of a New Holland T 7,190 ploughing. Yesterday again but continue with the work on the land. On this plot of light sablon, pig manure was spread a few weeks ago. This is where fries potatoes will be placed. Last year we reduced our 35% acreage of fries potatoes. This year we are still planting this smaller acreage. Due to Corona, sales have been very moderate in the last 2 seasons. Including support for fries potatoes and including contracts, I think we end up with an average of 7.5 ct per kg. Compare this with a milk price of 2 years 20 ct. That doesn't make you a farmer. This year: New round, new opportunities. This year a new driver on the team. This means a lot of instruction and control. Ploughing a plot does then someone else.
