Claas Mega 208 | Picture made by PieterA

11 October 2017. Photo of a Claas Mega 208 or 218, I don't remember. Busy with the fortification of liatris Alba. We thresh the other kind of liatris (spicata) ourselves. In order not to get mixed, we have the contractor thresh it. Next to it is the 6206 with the 8 ton Mullie tipper. The seed of 0.2 ha can easily be placed in this cart. Her is a bit fluffy seed which is difficult to get out of the tank. That is why the contractor is stirring in the tank with a fork. After this we dry the seed for the tulip drying wall. We thresh ourselves with a New-Holland 8060, but where the Claas is standard, we have had to make quite a few adjustments to the New-Holland. Especially in the tank and the way that the seed travels to the tank, that seed can snarl quite a bit. Here is the 6m cutting board at the combine. That's actually on the broad side. We have to sit with the hydrostat quite low in speed, otherwise the seed does not have time to sink through the sieve. We thresh about 0.2 ha per hour.
