30 April 2021Photo of a Deutz-Fahr Agrotron 85 with self-build mast, van Dijke kopper and New-Holland 600 kg front weight. We purchased this kopper when we switched from back cultivation to bed cultivation in nets. From a tee-off device we got an electrohydraulic valve block, where we made a joystick. It sits on the armrest to easily lift the mast or to tilt the headper. I am still considering putting wheels on at the front, to compensate for changes in the height of the paths. We have adjusted the pinion to a maximum of 6 km per hour. We drive 5.5 km per hour with it. Then you drive in 4 layer and then the highest powershift stage at 1,500 rpm. You can then shift back 2 steps at the beginning and end and possibly reduce your engine speed, but that was not necessary here. On the back is a front weight, so that the front wheels track a little less deeply. The combination is also better balanced. This is a comfortable combination to work with. In this way we drive 0.4 ha per hour with it. This tulip is called White Prince. The stem of this cultivar is very short. Of course, that doesn't matter. After cupping, we usually have about 45 hours of work per hectare with the after-heading of the tulips.
