Yesterday the Kramer drove out with the nice weather to get rid of all his dust that was needed. Then I immediately removed the old cable from the winch and wrapped the new one, which I already had lying around, on it, this was 70 meters, there could be 100 meters of 16 mm cable. This went perfectly through the automatic roll-up system that is located under the winch. The Schlang & Reichart FW5/2 winch is mechanically driven by the PTO. To make this possible, a PTO (Zapfwellenantrieb) had to be mounted on the gearbox, of course also self-build of the Gebr. Kramer, there are still about 4 or 5 loose ones left worldwide and I managed to buy one of them from that stock in one sale with an intermediate bearing (swing bearing), a front PTO (Frontzapfwelle), and some other small fudge on this driveline to complete. There was still one PTO stump with back PTO in the frame, the PTO stump has moved to the front. The front PTO is 2.3 meters long and runs under the cab, with occasionally only a few millimeters of space around. Yesterday I also made a first test drive on the public road, this was a bit of enjoyment after 4 years of work, in the polder I kicked it full throttle to 2800 engine revs in his 8, then you drive 70 km / h on the GPS. Everything has held up well except for a few small things, including a running brake and a leak at the press side of the hydraulic pump for the power steering. You can steer with one hand through that ZF hydrolenkung and you hardly have to brake because you can brake a lot on the engine. I will post a video of the first test drive here.
