Schlüter Super Trac 2500VL | Picture made by Schluterfan

Einmal gesehen und danach niemals mehr... During my first "Grossfeldvorführung" in Freising I also came across unique tractors. Unfortunately, I didn't take enough detailed photos... In 2009 I came across this Super Trac 2500VL-LS. A tractor that has also been told about and the weather in the past, the stitchers on the bonnet also have something to do with that ... There is Super Trac 3000VL-LS listed. It certainly exists, although this tractor has also remained on its own. But it is not the trigger in the photo! Super Trac 2500VL, and from 88' as VL-LS have been there in 2 different "Baureihes", namely the 2410 and 2440. Of the 2440, only 2 were built, 1 with factory-fitted front linkage. Unfortunately, I have not yet managed to get either tractor in front of the lens. With the 2410 Baureihe it looks something "Schlüterrood-colorer", or should I also say "Ral 6031-colorer"? 12 pieces were built in "stand", so not on the "assembly line", as far as they knew it in Freising. When using a few mounting carts and a rail with which you push the tractor from one position to another by hand, you cannot speak of assembly tape ... Incidentally, the Super Trac's were too big to get in the spray booth, let alone the drying room! Of the 12 tractors, 4 were delivered to Bundeswehr, of which 2 in the green RAL 6031. As far as I know, the Bundeswehr tractors all had a Front Shield, which could move hydraulically up and down, but also at an angle to the front and rear. To operate all these functions, at least 1 tractor had a cross lever, and also an electric lifting device. Of these 12, I'm glad I've already captured 7 on the sensitive plate. The difference between the 2410 and 2440 is mainly in details. For example, the 2440 has a cabin with a built-in cab canopy in which switches for lighting, heating and possibly air conditioning were incorporated. That was the case since '84 with the Supers and other Super Trac's. Why this was only introduced in '89 with the heavy Super Trac's, is a mystery to me. One of the 2440's also has a front linkage ex-factory. The tractors also have a console to the right of the air-suspended Grammer seat, where the lift, hydraulic functions and other electrical functions could be engaged. The same console also found its way into the Bio Traktor and the Super Trac's with Liebherr engine a few years later. Too bad this didn't apply to the other Schlüter tractors either... The 2440's were mounted side by side together with another large Schlüter. Once the tractors were ready, this place became available for the semi-finished products of a new "Trac tractor" in the Schlüter "Programm", namely the Euro Trac. I only saw the Super Trac in the picture in 2009, and after that unfortunately no longer. Maybe I should try to arrange a date with the owner in the future... This Super Trac is not the only Schlüter in the extensive collection...!
