Massey Ferguson 2620 | Picture made by WaterDeutzer
The entry of the BOS grass fork marked the end of the era of bread pits made with cranes. The combination of the Forest Fork with the MF2620 made a huge capacity leap. With the MF it was possible to bring the entire contents of a Krone 3500 loader wagon onto the pit in 2 bites and distribute it. The MF2620 had a huge torque in low rev range due to the long stroke engine. A Deutz absolutely could not match that. This work did cost a sinter pressure group every year.
