Wetra EDC: City Liners Profi for parts distribution from Krone Logistics service provider Wetra European Distribution Centre from Nieuw Amsterdam has purchased two new Krone City Liners Profi curtain-sided trailers. They will be used for the distribution of Krone trailer parts in the Netherlands and Belgium. Wetra has been a Krone customer for some time. The versatile company specializes in general cargo distribution in the Netherlands, northern Germany and Belgium. With a fleet of 36 tractor-trailer combinations and another six box trucks, Wetra serves a varied clientele in the aforementioned regions. The equipment is easily recognizable because of its striking turquoise color. In addition, the company also has its own storage facilities. "If it has to be really fast, we can also offer courier services," says director Marcel Wever. Different sizes "We only have sliding tarpaulin trailers and with these we often transport cargo of deviating formats," Wever points out. "Anything larger than a pallet suits us best to transport." Wever explains that he regularly does business with Krone. "This past year, we added another five trailers, including these two. We ourselves have the most diverse customers, in all shapes and sizes. So we have to load as efficiently as possible, and what you do see all the time in this business is that customers want to be served on time. But we are quite proud of the fact that we drive for Krone Trailers. They too look for partners they can depend on." Every day Wetra pre-loads in Herzlake, where Krone's parts center is located. There, Wetra's drivers pick up the parts, which are delivered to the various trailer workshops in the Netherlands and Belgium. Fully equipped The trailers Wetra bought for the parts work are on beautiful alloy wheels. Wetra's turquoise house color is nicely reflected in the trailers' side guards. Furthermore, a bottom-loading ramp has been installed and both new trailers are equipped with a forced-steer axle. Finally, the trailers comply with the strict load securing standard EN 12642 Code XL. "With Krone, I can fine-tune these details. For example, on yet other trailers we have a connection for a transportable forklift. Everything is easy to plan with Krone and the trailers were delivered on time," says Marcel Wever. Almost 30 years From New Amsterdam, the dynamic family business serves customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and in northern Germany. "All our customers are in the B-to-B segment. Think, for example, of metal processing." Next year Wetra, which employs sixty men, will celebrate its 30th anniversary. "With us, no shipment is ever the same. That's because of the diverse customer base. Flexibility is our strength!"
