March 16, 2021 Photo of a New Holland TM 135 with Doggen nose wheel, Steketee soil crumbler and Steketee maxisprint. On this plot with 8% lutum, potatoes have been cultivated after harvesting, two weeks ago pig manure on it. Plowed a few days later and now prepared a seedbed for onions. This is where the combination comes in handy. On light soil it is often difficult to press the surface evenly and not to drag too much soil into your hedgehog. To prevent the latter, lift the normally the hedgehog on the sand heads a little. For example, it will work shallower, but your rear wheels will carry more and therefore also more bags. We solved it differently: Between the 2 eggs is an articulated drawbar that can be raised. You adjust the machines to the heavier parts with the drawbar down. If you come to a lighter head in the plot, the tractor drops back into revs (here we drove in b6 +/- 14 km per hour) Here you have to be very alert to., because then the kinkdissel has to go up. You lift the goose feet out of the ground and the eggs and leveling plates as well. Part of this weight comes on the ground crumbler and part on the rear rolls of the maxi sprint. In this case we were able to prepare the plot in 1x. On light sablon often good to do (there you can often drive around 20 km per hour; then most clods splash) but on the lighter plots you often have that being pressed unevenly. Many farmers still drive 2x to get the soil evenly pressed, while this is not necessary for crushing the soil. The disadvantage of this combination is that adjusting is always quite a chore (especially the leveling plates in the maxi sprint) and actually we would like to have a little higher wider (90 cm) tires on the back of the tractor that are just as smooth as this one. (But yes, priorities, right; you only drive it for a week in the country anyway)
