March 28, 2022 Photo of a New Holland T 7,190 with Kverneland woelrotor combination and Deutz-Fahr 6190 TTV with Baselier row cutter. If you mill backs on potatoes after planting, it is nice that there is still a little moisture in the soil. In the whole month of March it had only rained a few millimeters, so that was still quite a challenge. This is soil of 14% siltable. Last year after the wheat, there was ploughing, kilvering, mole ploughing and sowing with leaf rammenas. Sprayed to death on 7 March, flailed on 15 March and sprinkled fertilizer. To plow in the spring, this soil is actually just too heavy. We have now chosen to do everything as soon as possible in succession; First a round of tossing, then immediately after with the leg combination and then immediately milling. For example, the soil will dry out for no more than half an hour before you build up the back. Such things only work if you have enough people. In a spring like this, that's easy to do. You can plan anything with such weather reports as the past 1.5 months. We have read about a week because of the rain, but have now been busy for 4 days with potato legs and milling. We hope to have all the potatoes in it shortly after the Easter weekend. Then we have corn and another block of liatris.
