MTZ R2 | Picture made by WaterDeutzer
On a drive to the potato project where consulting farmer Johan Murre worked, I saw some maintenance work along the road. An MTZ that was a bit further away than a flat tire. The dust sand already blown into the bin was worked hard to make the tractor drive again. Most Soviet tractors were around 60hp and no longer had a battery or working starting circuit on board. The tractors were then parked backwards on a prepared hill in the evening after work. Then it can make a rolling start again in the morning.
