Since today we are going to restart a project. About 4 years ago I bought this mini excavator KX 121 with a defective engine as well as without 1 window left in it. Nobody knew what was wrong with it. There were only 2300 hours on the counter and it came from the first owner, a garden contractor. When dismantling the engine we found out that someone had put water in the upright exhaust so that some of it had run along the exhaust valve on 1 piston. As a result, it no longer started at the time. They did replace the starter motor but never bothered to look further into what exactly was wrong with it. The project has now been on hold for 4 years but today we picked up a nicely rebuilt engine from a mechanic/dealer in Dordrecht, the Netherlands. Two guys of mine are going to put it back together in the lost hours.
