This is a bit much for this work, especially since the tractor has a lot of grip with these tires. It is almost impossible to skid on dry ground. So it comes down to the driveline quite a bit this way. In this way the potato land is prepared for sowing grass in 1 go. We grow tulips and grass is a nice pre-fruit. Here are then 9 hectares of grass for grass seed. The other half of the plot will be winter wheat. That will probably bring in more. This year so far tractor drivers are not such an issue. Here on this plot, meanwhile, we were also harvesting and staking potatoes. That is an advantage of having many tractors and machines; if the weather is good and you can get enough people, you can carry on working. The disadvantage is that you can't be everywhere. This year we rent out 17 hectares for grass seed. That's a lot; last year it was 2.7 acres. The grass seed grower had trouble getting land secured this fall because of difficult weather conditions. High grain prices are also not cooperating for him. The driver Is relatively new to me. He is doing an internship 2 days a week. Before this he was an intern at a contracting company. He is good at driving a tractor. In one of the first training weeks he already went out with the team. If necessary, he works long days. When he is not busy he can work at home or on a cow farm. That works well for me.
