We also just put the 6160 TTV in front of the plow this fall to test how that goes. That went better than expected. Went nicely smoothly through and could handle the 4-scissors just fine. This was a plot of Facelia green manure. We have been sowing Facelia as a green manure crop for a few years now, because it roots well, but does not form too much green. Too much greenery leads to extra operations such as clamping and we want to avoid that. Most important of green manure is the root structure in the soil. What grows above ground is secondary. The crop was not quite mature yet, but because we always want to have everything plowed before the end of October before the worse weather comes, it went over anyway. Nevertheless, the root structure did not disappoint. Nice soil to sow sugar beets on next year.
