Photo of a Kramer U800, since yesterday we have come into possession of a second U800. This came up for sale last week on eBay Kleinanzeigen, right away we made our move and made contact with the Dutch owner and on Saturday we went to have a look, so this is one of the 3 U800's that are known in the Netherlands, machine was standing near Venray. Previous owner owned it for 35 years but the machine never left the dam. Just before the sale he quickly went over it with the brush and the kit sprayer and with the wood he still had the hatches screwed together... This machine is from June 14, 1962 and originally delivered with closed cab, power steering, compressed air system and cab heater. Wheel position is 2150 mm. It had been delivered to the Wicküler-Küpper-Brauerei in Wuppertal, Germany at the end of July 1962. A beer brewery thus, the brand still exists but is now owned by another large beer brewery from Dortmund. Wicküler was also owned by Grolsch of Enschede for another 2 years. With us, the Kramer deserves a thorough overhaul and technical/optical restoration in stages. It drives but does not brake. It needs to hit the road again in original livery how it did its service at the brewery until the 1980s, perhaps with Wicküler Pilsener logo on the doors.
