Claas Jaguar Field Shuttle van maarten-suykerbuyk

Claas Jaguar Field Shuttle | Picture made by maarten-suykerbuyk

This photo was not taken by myself but it means a lot to me. It comes from the archive of Wies van Loon from Achterbroek (B) which I was allowed to scan in its entirety. The photo shows two companies at work in the wet autumn of 2001. It took perseverance and creativity to get the corn off the land. In the foreground we see a Claas Jaguar FS880C Field Shuttle of contracting company Creeële from Beervelde (also Belgium but a long way from Achterbroek, the home base of Wies). Wies van Loon hired Creeële to get the corn off the land in our region. In the background we see contractor Greefs from Essen (B) who saw a solution in equipping their Vredo VT3926 with a high loader. This was built on the basis of a Schuitemaker silage bucket. Their John Deere 6950 chopper, with or without double air, goes in front. What makes this photo so special to me is that as a child (I was 13 in 2001) I saw these machines at work but never took pictures of them. This photo represents, as it were, what was burned into my retina for years. Great to come across that after all these years. The complete photo archive of Wies van Loon can be found on the website of my good friend Niels van der Boom, www.agrifoto.nl (search on companies -> Wies van Loon)
