A spotter sometimes needs a very big helping of luck. In the fall of 2013, we went back into the wide world. When I came near Horrues (B), in Wallonia, I saw on a farm this dyke of a combination. A genuine John Deere 4755 with an OVA three axle tipper truck. I stayed around a bit and passed by the farm a few more times, unfortunately no luck, the machine stayed put. A week later, I was out again with my fellow spotter Davy Tandt to capture some handsome harvest teams on camera. At our last appointment, the harvest was over and it was not yet dark. We decided to drive home, but along the interior and with some detours through Wallonia. Until it suddenly occurred to me to show the farm that I had recently seen with the machines that went with it. Although I had written down the address in a booklet I always carry with me, I remembered it very well and was able to drive there almost blindly. To this day, by the way, I still remember the address very well; driving there blindly would perhaps be a little less so after 9 years. We are near the farm and a song 'Masters of Puppets' by Metallica is playing on the radio until suddenly a John Deere 4755 and an OVA three-axle tipper loom up in front of us. You can imagine that we went completely crazy in the car, not only because it's a good song by Metallica but also for the combination. The chase was on and a little further on we entered the field. To make our happiness complete, the harvester also caught our eye. A Claas Jaguar 695 formed a duo with this dyke of a combination between the corn. Whenever I hear Master of Puppets by Metallica, I invariably think back to this wonderful moment and so this combination will always be linked to this song. http://www.deoudedoos.be
