Recently we have made great progress in rebuilding the house. Before the woodworm in the house could be treated, all thatch had to be removed from under the tiles. It was nailed to the lower part of the house against the tiles from the inside. It had been there for over 80 years and I was surprised how well it came out after all these years. But it had also become mostly a collection of dust and dead mice. The 35 and the JF lent a hand and that at least made for a nostalgic picture.
