Yesterday my dad and I drove to Germany again to pick up the completely overhauled gearbox. Literally every bolt and nut has been loosened from it. The entire brake system has been renewed. New brake shoes for the regular brakes as well as for the handbrake and 2 new brake pistons. Several gears have been replaced as well as synchros. Several bearings in the gearbox were also replaced. The bill was hefty but now I am sure everything is back as it should be. As you know it kept rocking out of reverse gear. In the end it turned out there was a lot more wrong internally than first thought. I also added a 3rd double-acting valve that I bought through a German guy. The man also fitted the new clutch that I had already bought from my own dealer. A new shift lever was also fitted. This one had broken off at the bottom due to a clumsy move by myself. In driving back home, we stopped along the highway to have a nice snack at our leisure.
