Drove the flats off the tires today after 7 months. The gearbox overhaul was a time-consuming job and took longer than expected. Finally, I had to remove the ZF power steering because it had 2 leaking seals. The gearbox and power steering were both good and tight 5 years ago, but as you can see, the old stuff starts leaking after one year of driving. In addition, there were many details changed on the Kramer that bothered me. Earlier this year we visited Klaas Roelof Hooikammer in Rouveen, many will know him from tractor pulling and/or oldtimer parts, a nice guy. On request he made new footboards for the Kramers of ours, with the right diamond profile punched in, this really finishes it instead of the temporary (and ugly) checker plate. We also got other taillights. The old ones were made of plastic and not the right type, because originally these machines had two-chamber taillights. You just don't see these very often, not to mention the amounts. Finally I decided to buy 2 new ones, they came from an old warehouse. The diameter of the Hella taillights is 120 mm, they are made of steel.
