April 19, 2023 Photo of a Deutz-Fahr Agrotron 85 with Cappon front harrow and king planter. Started carefully in the field last Wednesday. Turnip land from last year, Pulled loose last fall. Now sprayed, tilled and rotated in 1 pass and then planted liatris bulbs with this combination. Trainee on the tractor and me on the back of the planter. It went nice and smooth. Started spraying after supper and by 10:00 pm the two plots of 0.9 acres combined were in. When I sit on the back, I mainly look at the planting depth and whether the bulbs are well covered. The trainee drove about 6- 7 km. Always nice to have this work done again. The planter and harrow are cleaned in the back corner. Then the tractor is free again to head tulips or sow beets. By the way, the combination is here on a field border. We have all kinds of edges this year. So last week we started a little bit in the field and on three different plots I have already come across all kinds of things. Edges of 0, 1, 1.5 3, 4 and 5 m we have already kept and even an edge that jumps from 0 to 3, and back to 0 meters again.
