April 27, 2023 Photo of a New Holland T 7.190 with Steketee/self-built front harrow, Kverneland power harrow and self-built liatris seeder. We sowed the 2nd and final plot of liatris in plowed land. This time with a different tractor. Before coffee in the afternoon we sprayed Bonalan with the Agrotron 120 and adjusted the fast harrow combination behind the 6185 TTV. From 15:30 to 18:00 prepare the 9 hectare plot of land. We also started seeding with the New-Holland and cambridging with the Fiat 880. In the evening, we just had an hour at home and the 4 hectares of liatris were nicely cambridged and tidy by 9:00 pm. We don't have a chicory seeder ourselves; so for the 5 acres of chicory we called the contractor, but he didn't come on King's Day. The next day it drizzled all day, so we only sowed on Saturday. I'm not saying the contractor is doing it wrong, but it's kind of the reason we pick up a lot of work ourselves; you're just a lot more flexible, because if it hadn't dried so hard in the afternoon we would have just kept selecting tulips. Now we were lucky that 2 days later we could still sow chicory; but you miss another 2 growing days.
