In Belgium it is already construction leave but not yet in the southern Netherlands. Here we are still with a team of workers demolishing a former factory just across the Dutch border. The crawler crane is here loading gas concrete blocks to be cut down in Roosendaal. In Belgium, we call these Ytong blocks. Earlier this week we had left a container truck at the demolition site behind the fence but against the street side. The driver wanted to leave in the morning and the diesel tank was completely empty, the cap was also completely broken. We just managed to get to the nearby gas station to fill it up again. This is the first time in 24 years that I have ever experienced something like this. Fortunately, a lot of metal comes out of the demolition and compensates for the lamentable event. 😊
