Kramer KL 550 van Kramer U800

Kramer KL 550 | Picture made by Kramer U800

Photo of my new acquisition, a 1965 Kramer KL550. Last Sunday morning it came up for sale, at the end of the morning I was already at the door of the owner. I gave it a slap and took it with me, because some Germans had already outbid me. Many will say nothing about it, but somewhere it looks familiar. There are between 08/1962 and 09/1965 as many as 62 pieces built, some are sold for export to France and Switzerland but as far as I know no one to the Netherlands. This one comes from Groesbeek and is the only one in the Netherlands. What I just said, it will look familiar to some somewhere, that's because under the skin this is a Deutz D50.1S. They were built at Fahr in Gottmadingen and fitted with their own polyester (duralastik) hood and steel rear fenders at Kramer in Überlingen. Type plate on it, chassis number was punched in and another one could go. Kramer released this series because a tractor was lacking in this power class, in addition Kramer did not yet have the BGIII getriebe ready, the BGII would have been too weak for the power therefore this one has a ZF A216 swingarm. The engine installed was until 04/1964 the Deutz F4L712 and then the F4L812, both with 52 hp. At that time the most powerful tractor at Kramer (if you do not count the U800). All in all, a separate story. The Kramer is going to be completely redone, all the sheet metal (which is already pretty clean) will be repainted in Kramer green, the front wheels are wrong, they should be 6x19 inches, and some other details. If anyone has something lying around, please let me know.
