Schlüter Super Tronic 2000TV-LS | Picture made by Schluterfan

Stufenlos mit Schlüter! Among the many common models, a special one still pops up from time to time.... At Schlüter, the number "2000" is immediately associated with an 8-cylinder in-line turbo engine under the hood. This one is one of the 5 exceptions, at least with the Super series. In the picture also a 2000, but a Super Tronic 2000TV-LS. Not an 8 cylinder under the hood, but a 6 cylinder turbo intercooler with 185hp. The engine in itself nothing "special", it was also in the Super 1800 and 1900's, and in the equivalents as a Super Trac. The gearbox and the rest of the tractor construction is different. This tractor was built by Schlüter, along with 2 other "2000's" as a test tractor for ZF. The first, numbered 001, and thus the tractor in the picture, had a vario transmission mounted in it. Whether this was done at Schlüter, or at ZF is not known to me. Originally, the "Tronic's", tractors with an electrically shifted 8-speed power shift transmission. The distant predecessor of the "double Clutch" transmissions now surrounded in the tractor industry. One clutch is coupled, the other is ready to take over from one when shifting gears. The very first Schlüter with this transmission was the Super 2200TVL, presented at the 1984 DLG Schau in dark gray, a BMW color. Number 002, I wrote about it in the past, which has a precursor of the ZF T7x00 transmission, as we know it from the Deutz Agtron's, Fendt 500/800's,... Little is known to me about "003," presumably it has the same 8-speed powershift transmission as the Tronic 1900, the successor to the 2000 (smaller figure, may sound odd, but not in Schlüter's logic...). ZF built a small number of these transmissions, which Schlüter built in 9 Super 1900 Tronics, and its equivalent Super Tronic Trac 1900. Of the latter, it also built 9. Then ZF pulled the plug on the production of this transmission because Ford, which was originally also going to buy this tranmission, decided against it anyway. Beyond that, Schlüter was one of the few, if not the only, buyer.... So Schlüter was then without a powershift transmission and in '88 came out with the "LS", a much more frugal powershift, since this is actually just a "Hi/Lo". Which, by the way, they built themselves in the tranmissions.... Much too late, the technology is no longer being embraced.... Even more special is the front axle, which has for Schlüter a not typical drive under the engine, and is thus driven in the middle. Similar front axle also found its way into the Super 2200TVL.... Both the 1900s, and the 2000 in Tronic version also distinguished themselves in mother weight, which did have the ability to mount 10 sliding weights in it, just as was common with the 1250s and 1500s.... It was noteworthy that they did not include this mother weight and front axle in the production of the, among Schlüter enthusiasts, legendary Super 1900TVL-LS Special.... Most 1900s in Tronic version were delivered with Schlüter front hitch. They were true arable tractors, with a maximum speed of about 32km/h. Not yet very common in agriculture at that time, but Schlüter delivered these tractors all on tires with rim "30 at the front and '42 at the rear. At the time, 20*8R42 was one of the few common sizes in this.... Even though the Tronic transmission was not without its teething problems, there are owners who still use these tractors today! In the beginning I wrote of 5 "2000", 3 of which were thus with Schlüter 6 cylinder turbo intercooler engine. The other 2 were successors to the Super 1900TVL-LS Special, and were fitted with a MAN 6 cylinder. Meanwhile, we are already writing the end of 1993...
