Schlüter Super 850 V | Picture made by Schluterfan

Super 950V, the German version of my Super E6600V.... Also from the Baureihe 951, of which a total of 93 were built. Mine is number 247, this 186... Why those numbers are higher than the production number; the Baureihe basically started as a "900", sold as a Super 900(V). From the beginning this type became a "hit" for export and went as Super E900 in large numbers (I believe about half of the total 168 tractors produced) to mainly Yugoslavia. There were also 3 sold to Italy, all 3 as far as I remember without front-wheel drive. One of them is owned by a friend of mine. The first tractors were sold with 90hp, but soon Schlüter drove the power up to about 95hp. At one point they scaled up the type from Super 900 to 950.... When Schlüter started sticking "950" on the hood, they did let the serial number continue. Hence, suddenly the numbers began to diverge. Also noteworthy is the history of the engine in these tractors. From 1966 to 1969, engines were installed with a bore of 110mm. When in March '69 the engines were upgraded to "SDM," which stands for Schlüter Diesel Mehrlochsdüse, blocks were built in with bushings of 108. So a smaller engine was built in. I think the theory behind this is, that by using other injectors, with 3 holes, instead of 1 in the SD (which were built in until February '69), they got the same power out of a smaller engine. Even more remarkable is, that "in between" they also installed engines with mounted 106mm bushings.... I can only think that they did that if a tractor was intended for export, going to the foreign country as Super E6600(V). 6600 refers to "approximately" the displacement (in reality 6619ccm³). In fact, an engine with 108 cans had 6871ccm³ (and thus theoretically had to be sold as Super E6900V) Only..... I also have a 6600, and it originally had a 108mm in it, which was later upgraded to 110.... In between, there were also 6 Super 950s built, which got the serial number stamped in from an "1150". After these 6 tractors, the Super 1150 was created, a model between the 950 and 1250. Most likely, Schlüter wanted to use this to close the gap between a 115hp 1250V (which also went to Yugoslavia in large numbers) and a 95hp 950. The 1150, however, had 105hp. A sales success the 1150 was not, with a total of 13 units + the 6 tractors sold as Super 950.... Once the 1150 was in production, the Super 950 got back a serial number starting with 95, namely 951. The strange thing is that Schlüter put another 2 after this, and only then the serial number, so I have "951 2 247". The theory behind this is still unclear to me.... Besides the 951, there was also an 851 (Super 850), which had a 2 behind it with then the serial number. However in the Baureihes there is no mention of the 2, and this remained the case only with the Super 850 and 950. Finally, the Super 950, meanwhile already scaled up to Baureihe 952, will go up in August '74 as Super 1050V. The 952 was there only briefly, after 18 built, including at least 1 as an export, and very exceptionally delivered in green.... The details in the 951 and 952 do it mainly in the cab, which was more soundproof ("Super Silence") and had a different dashboard. Super 950s went not only to Yugoslavia, but also in larger numbers to France. Schlüter delivered full trains to France at good times (also many Super E5900). The tractors were delivered sparsely, with no wheels, no cab. But they did have a double-acting valve, modified headlights and horn, a hitch with the depth control on the lifting arms instead of the top bar.
