Photo of a John Deere 3120. The front loader bucket made hydraulic. This used to have one of those electric drop systems on it. Bucket was then unlocked and fell open. And then hope it would close again. You often saw this system with a pull rope/lever. To increase the versatility now 2 cylinders are mounted. Some puzzling with the tilt angle. Cylinders deliberately not too thick to keep up the speed.
