For a long time I had the idea in my head to convert a flail mower to hang in front of the articulated mop to cut smaller pieces of grass and vegetation. So I had already bought an Amazon with collection bucket and wing blades to convert but it has been sitting in the corner for years. Then in December I came across this muthing in as good as new condition. This flail mower of German manufacture is nicely and solidly finished in all areas and equipped with light, freely hinged hammer flails. For propulsion, a gear motor with front bearing came on the flail mower. On the articulated mop I put the extra function that was on it for a vacuum unit to the front and made it electric with a rocker switch for the mower's oil supply. In addition, a leak oil connection was then built and a heavier hydro pump. The mower itself was slightly remade. Running wheels shortened on the machine, attachment system made with free suspension so the mower can follow the ground. Small sideshift cylinder fitted so that the mower can extend 25cm outwards to allow some short cutting along/between poles and ditches. A few weeks later, in drier weather (drier than it is here at the moment) I was able to do the first test. I am not disappointed with the result. As soon as the adjustments are painted I will post a picture.
