"That Electronic-Schlepper!" A Super 2000TVL in gray, nen High Speed surely???? No, I don't! This is the only Super 2200TVL, a tractor with an 8-cylinder in-line turbocharged 9.8liter engine and an output of 210hp! That gray color, that also has a meaning, but not that of High Speed, for that it is also too dark, and when this tractor was built, they were already working on fast tractors in Freising, but this is another piece of engineering! In fact, the tractor in the photo has an electrically controlled 8-stage power shift gearbox. The 8 gaits could be shifted under load, divided into 2 groups forward and reverse. Good for 16 gears, with an optional creeper in the option, so the gearbox had 24 gears. In addition to the electric gearbox, the tractor also had an electrically adjustable linkage. Also noteworthy was that the turbo clutch was built into the gearbox. Built in the spring of 1984, the tractor was sold to ZF after a few trials. In 1999, they then sold the tractor to a collector, who restored it , as it can be seen in the photo. However, it remained a prototype, so there is only 1 of them! Unfortunately I haven't seen em yet, although I had hoped to see it at the 110 year, but I wasn't so lucky. I said at the beginning that it does not actually belong to the fast tractors, but basically it does, because it also goes 43km/h with ease, which was also fast in those days! I don't think this tractor stands as an example for High Speed tractors either, although Schlüter was apparently already developing them from 1983! However, the real High Speeders, in full Ral 9006 only came on the market in 86, and this one in dark gray has nothing to do with that! By the way, there is another Schlüter, a Compact 750V4 in this color, but that's another story! Photo: Klaus Tietgens, Schlüter tractors im Einsatz. Oh yeah, what I also noticed with this tractor, is the wire to both mirrors, presumably the thing also had heated, and maybe even electrically adjustable mirrors!
