"Der allerletzte Schlüter aus Freising!" Yep, what you see in the picture, is the very last Schlüter ever built in Freising. On December 23, 1993, this Super 1700LS High Speed left the "belt". The tractor was delivered to Lohnunternehmer Fick from Nottensdorf (Stade). From then on production continued under Landtechnik Schlüter in Schönebeck, and that only counted for the Euro Trac's then.... To give you an example of how many tractors Schlüter sold new in Germany at that time: According to the info I have, about 200 tractors would have been built in 1987, of which 184 stayed in their own country. In 88 (the year my own tractor was built) about 170 tractors were built, of which 156 stayed in Germany. So means mine will have been one of 14 tractors for export. And it kept going downhill... In 89 still 147 were sold, in 90 barely 118. 1991 was a "positive" year, with the introduction of the Euro Trac. That year 133 were sold in the home country, of which about 40 were Euro Tracs alone. In 92, another 99 tractors were sold, of which about 20 were Euro Tracs.... 93, the year of closure in Freising, there were still 81. The end of a glorious brand seemed to be sealed. The era of the "one and only" Schlüter was a fact in that year.... Although people were able to keep up their courage until 2004, from then on it was all over... Photo: Agrartechnik Im Einsatz.de Perhaps also interesting to know, at that time for Belgium and Luxembourg Mr. Bartolomé from Schweiss (Luxembourg) was importer for this brand. In the Netherlands it was Hoegen Dijckhof and De Kam Agri from Rottum.
