Landini 12500 | Picture made by MMaarten

In 1984, in the West Flemish town of Pittem (B), in the clay quarry of brickyard Ampe, a one-time tractorpulling competition was organized by the Deverol company Many Belgian contractors, farmers and enthusiasts will have seen the well-known Deverol sticker on one or another tractor. It was one of the ways to advertise in those days. Deverol was not shy about a stunt, so in 1984 they organized a tractor pulling contest, in which only invited tractors could participate. The participants were invited by Deverol itself and were customers of the company No less than 17 brands were present, with two types each for two classes. A 4 ton class up to 85 hp and a 7 ton class up to 150 hp. So one could also see which tractor was the best on the tractorpulling track! Among others, this Landini 12500 of contracting company Matthys from Ursel ventured his chance at the tow truck of the silent enjoyer Thanks to the then owner and founder of the company, Luc Demarez, we were able to digitize a beautiful film of that tractorpulling and it is the focus of this weekend on http://www.deoudedoos.be Almost 1 full hour of tractorpulling fun from almost 30 years ago can be viewed there Feel free to enjoy this piece of heritage!
