Hesston Field Queen 7655 van MMaarten

Hesston Field Queen 7655 | Picture made by MMaarten

Another old photo from around the turn of the century. Contractor company Van De Voorde from Wippelgem (B) converted its veteran from a corn chopper to wood chopper. So this Field Queen 7655 got a new life on the contractor's yard. On the oude doos.be this extended weekend there is a film dating from the year 1987 where the Field Queen together with a Claas Jaguar 690 chop the corn, with the necessary co-drivers of course. Remarkable here on this photo is that the sticker of 'Deverol' ( a Belgian company selling parts) is still nicely intact. These sitckers used to be seen in large numbers on the windshields of tractors, combines and thus also on harvesters. As a promotional stunt, in 1984 Deverol organized a tractorpulling contest in the West Flemish town of Pittem (B), where only invited tractors were allowed to participate. If you want to see the two films of the tractorpulling and the film of this Field Queen in action, you can always visit http://www.deoudedoos.be
