Hence it would no longer brake, completely covered in oil. The retaining ring had come loose from the iron housing. Fortunately this job was a lot easier than on a 633 where the lift cover and trumpets have to be removed. Here you could pull the jacket right out of the body with the fenders off. New retaining ring in and sanded the brakes and now it brakes like it should.
