Photo of a John Deere 8310R In 2015/2016 we seeded with this set, a JD 8310 with case 1250 corn seeder. This machine was a 24 row seeder at 75cm Despite the larger working width, larger seed tanks and liquid fertilizer tank on the seeder, it was significantly lighter than the previously posted 1240 pivot planter. This machine also lifted on 8 wheels on the headland. We were able to achieve a capacity of 12-15 acres per hour with this seeder The machine was purchased used from southern manitoba. The seeder worked well by itself, we had some electronic failures here and there. Cable breaks etc. Also the bulk fill (the system that blows the seed from the central tank to the row elements) sometimes did not work properly, and rows ran empty. We never found the real cause and remained a problem until the end we had the seeder.
