Our Hatz used to have a piece broken out of the rear axle, probably because it was driven into something with the hole bar. Unfortunately, the missing piece is no longer there. I already asked a company what it would cost to refurbish it, but they came close to an amount with 3 zeros. It's well worth the amount, because they heat the part and then weld it with the same material, but I wonder if that's not far too fancy a solution in this case, since the tractor doesn't need much more work. I hope someone has other suggestions or a cheaper address for refurbishing? Or experience with welding up cast iron, for example with cast iron electrodes or use of 2 component paste.
