Then time to take off the rear axle. Since the tractor had been standing for so long, we wanted to at least replace the wheel bearings. The wheel bearings on the front wheels clearly had an imprint from standing, so there was a chance that those on the rear wheels would have it too. The bearings further down the body are under less stress at idle, so we hope those are still okay.The ones from the body we faced also indeed still looked fine. And now we could also get right to the brakes. Those have probably been in there for 60 years as well, so curious to see what condition they are in after all these years. The rest of the left trumpet could remain in place.
