Der Letzte Profi Trac! Sales of the Profi Trac's had a deep peak in the late 80s. Schlüter built 1 Profi Trac from the parts that were available in April '89. That's this tractor in the picture, a 2500TVL. At the end of the 70s Schlüter had a "Vorführ Profi Trac" running, which ended up in an accident shortly after the tractor was built. That was a Profi Trac 2200TVL. Because the damage was so great, they had decided in Freising to take the tractor apart again when they got home and to use the parts that were good and had no damage back. The transmission was spared and was thus built in this Profi Trac 2500TVL. The type of transmission that Schlüter used for these tractors was the well-known ZF T6636, but as an 'L' variant. This means that Schlüter deviated from the load-shiftable groups that this box had. That can be found in the Super 2500VL and 3000TVL, just as Deutz used it in the DX 8.30, DX230 and DX250, and Fendt in the 62X series. In reality, the basis of the tractor differs little from the Super Trac 2500VL (-LS) that was still in production at the time. The tractor did get its own baureihe, known as 2410, despite the fact that there are only 2 of these tractors. The first, which already saw the light of day in '85, received stickers on the Bonnet Super Trac 2500VL, but with steered rear axles as they could be found in the Profi Trac's. Why did Schlüter do that? Well... The tractor was only delivered in October '90. Schlüter, which was not normal for them, probably built the tractor on "stock". And with a price of 177000DM, the tractor was "specially" priced. I took the picture in 2007, when Schlüter Was Theme in Nordhorn. The tractor had been offered for sale during that period. The license plate shows that he still had his home in the District of Wolfenbüffel. On the 2nd hand market, and with about 2800 operating hours on the clock if I remember correctly at the time, it was for sale for about 89000euro at the time. From these sources, the tractor is now in another collection, but it has been since I saw it in 2007. Remarkable, and for Schlüter again quite ordinary, wearing a tractor from a series of 2 and yet number 015 ... (The first had 006). It gives food for thought again!
