Schlüter Oldtimers van Schluterfan

Schlüter Oldtimers | Picture made by Schluterfan

Schlüter Illustrierte! In addition to my girlfriend and my tractors, I have something else that I am proud to have in my possession. I was able to buy these 3 original factory crates from Schlüter many years ago. On Ebay they are rarely or not offered. In 1955 Schlüter started releasing factory newspapers. The intention to publish such a newspaper every month did not work, but they appeared at irregular time. The first 6 editions were named "Schlüter Nachrichten". After these editions, the name changed to "Schlüter Illustrierte". Only 6 of these publications are known. Of these I have 3. The newspapers I have were printed in April '59, May '60 and May '64. The last of these appeared in August 1966. In 1972 a kind of newspaper appeared again, which was given the name "Schlüter Report", with the year behind it. Of these newspapers there are only 3 publications known, namely "72, "74 and "76. More well-known are the magazines "Landtechnik von Morgen". Schlüter worked closely with the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Of these there are about 20 editions, of which I also have 1. In those magazines it was not so much about Schlüter, but rather about new techniques that were used in machines, but also about livestock and plant cultivation. Photos for this were often taken at Gut Schlüterhof. Schlüter published the newspapers to inform the customers about the novelties they were working on at the time and that would come on the market. But not only that. You got, as it were, on the basis of photos, a nice tour in the factory, and even on the then more than 100ha large "Gut Schlüterhof". The latter is Anton Schlüter's private farm, where all prototypes were built and novelties were extensively tested. And on the fields of this farm, the famous Feldvorführungen also took place every 2 years. Schlüter also gave you a look at how they sold tractors to export countries. How the newspapers I have ended up in Belgium, both I and the previous owner do not know. I suspect that the previous owner, who was an avid folder collector, received them from Schlüter when he wrote them for leaflets. In the past I was often asked what I do with all my photos of the Schlüter meetings and field days. Since I also like to photograph, and I think it's a shame to only post the photos on TF, I thought about a Facebook page, where I could share all my photos from the past and present. And I found a suitable name in Schlüter Illustrierte!
