What the Schlüter story all started with... In '95 dad started the search for his first Schlüter. Not even realizing what he had started, since the factory had closed 3 years before, and there were no people in Belgium outside Dereepere who worked on Schlüters, let alone did in spare parts! On April 16, 1996 this Schlüter came to the yard, dad traded his then in comparison with the Schlüter 7 years younger Inter 844SB on it. Despite father being declared crazy with such a "wreck" in some's eyes, the Schlüter faithfully did its job for the silage cutter for 10 years. And the visits to the dealer were reduced to getting oil to change the old one. That seemed to have been different at the Inter. Actually once hoped to restore it to factory new. Only our ma decided otherwise... Dad was allowed to buy another Schlüter in 2005 when it went away. The regret is still there now, knowing that there was another Deutz and another Inter at the company. In the meantime, almost 15 years and 2 Schlüters richer, the red tractors from Freising will remain the figurehead of our farm.
