Belgium has a lot of oldtimer enthusiasts. Many of these enthusiasts do not use their tractors during the whole year, except for a few oldtimer rides. Yet we have also come across many enthusiasts who enjoy putting their machines to work. Like hobbyist De Smet from Kerkhove, where the Massey Ferguson virus has completely struck. Here we see two Massey Ferguson machines at work, a Massey Ferguson 30 combine and a beautifully restored Massey Ferguson 135 with a Cavero tipper. The combine came from the seed company Clovis Matton ( now part of LG seeds). There the machine was used for threshing the experimental fields. The machine dates from 1972 and they had three of them running at the time. The machine is powered by a 4 cylinder Volkswagen gasoline engine.
