Fordson Super Major van MMaarten

With the old box we are now in the archive of BMA or Bosmans Machines Agricole. A constructor that was active in Flanders as well as in Wallonia after the war years of 1940-45. Offering solutions for missing machines, marcel Bosmans did not prefer that. In the 50s there were not a lot of manure spreaders and they were also quite expensive. Many farmers fed piles of manure, often with horse and cart, on the field. Afterwards they were fed open by hand, a rather heavy job. Bosmans thought this could be improved and built a manure cutter. The cutter drove over the piles of manure and so the manure was spread over the land. The cutter was on aluminum airplane wheels, later those wheels were replaced by car tires of a Buick as here in the photo.
