During the autumn, we received a lot of beautiful material for our lens in 2019. We found this Deutz D40 with a Duquenne beet harvester in Beclercs (Wallonia). The harvester was built in the region of Beclers, in Gaurain-Ramecroix near Tournai. Only a power of 30-40 hp was required for these harvesters. With one full bunker they had about 1750kg of beets and the capacity was 1.5 hectares per day. The fields of this farmer were somewhat on the sloping landscape in Beclers, which occasionally made grubbing up difficult.
