Photo of a Kramer 50'er rear axle. The past few months I have been working (in between all things) on the rear axle of the Kramer. The braking system was as worn as the rest of the vehicle. Here, of course, new brake lining has emerged, new brake cylinders, new handbrake cables and everything has been made free of play. The differential and final drive looked very nice even after a lot of cleaning. One brake drum was killed during disassembly and so I put another one on it. Today the final touches were put on the rear axle by putting it all together and painting it in the iron menie. This against rusting. Later, steel putty goes over it to eliminate the pit erosion. Now it's the front axle's turn. And the frame goes to the sandblasting plant.
