Photo of a John Deere 7820 with H&S 35ft tire rake/merger. We have been itching to buy a tire rake for quite a while and found a suitable one in Ontario last year. We really wanted a 35ft since our swath mowers are 35ft wide. H&S is the only one that makes a 35ft and they have not been built since 2017, so you just had to run across a nice used one. And new, those things aren't affordable either. For what a H&S like that costs new you can almost buy 2, 4 rotor rakes. The big advantage of the tire rake is that you have no leaf loss in alfalfa, and no grain loss in grain crops because they are much more careful with the crop. They also pick up less debris (rocks, metal etc) from the ground because it is picked up instead of swept over it like a rake.
