Photo of a Fendt 106 S 4x4. In this picture we have just split a 106 which was leaking presumably PTO shaft seal or prise shaft seal of the gearbox. When splitting, the bearing and retaining ring of the PTO clutch shaft came out of the gearbox with the transmission oil running out. Not a disaster, but a big puddle of oil, but it was easy to see it needed replacing. I have split 106 s before but that one had no intermediate boite. My question now is: How do I disassemble the big spring that puts pressure on the lamellar clutch of the PTO? It would have to come off to disassemble the flange of the center lower PTO so that retaining ring can be replaced as well.
